CROSS-COUNTRY ROUNDTABLE “MOVE AHEAD, KAZAKHSTAN!”: LEADING STRATEGIES FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AND INTERACTION
FROM 24 TO 26 APRIL 2024 IN THE PAVILIONS OF THE EXHIBITION COMPLEX “ATAKENT” (ALMATY) WILL BE HELD KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “TOURISM AND TRAVEL” KITF 2024.
KITF is the key event in the tourism sector of the entire Central Asian region, which annually gathers more than 300 leading companies and national agencies representing various tourism destinations and has gained popularity among tourism industry professionals from different countries. Being an effective industry platform, the 2024 exhibition will present the latest innovations and the most advanced tools for effective networking, exchange of experience, as well as for the conclusion of new business partnerships, which undoubtedly contributes to the further development and prosperity of the global tourism industry.
On 24 April 2024, within the framework of the KITF business programme will be organised the Cross-Country Round Table “Move ahead, Kazakhstan!” with the participation of officials – representatives of countries that are successful in promoting their own destinations.
Among the speakers will be representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Georgian National Tourism Administration, the Fund to Support Tourism Development in the Kyrgyz Republic, and the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Moderator of the round table will be the National Company “Kazakh Tourism”, which promotes Kazakhstan globally as an attractive tourist destination.
The Round Table's agenda includes discussion of the most important issues of the tourism industry, and the key thing is the actual options for their solutions. Each country has its own unique methods and strategies of tourism development, so sharing successful cases at the session will allow us to learn about the best practices that can be adapted and applied in our own country. The event will provide an opportunity to discuss new projects being implemented and tools to promote tourist destinations of each participating country. Also, in order to strengthen communication and develop tourism exchange, speakers will discuss possible joint cross-border projects, solving problems identified along the tourist route between the countries. During their speeches, the speakers will also present state programmes to support the development of the tourism industry.
Cross-country Round Table “Move ahead, Kazakhstan!” will contribute to the promotion and consolidation of the economically attractive tourism industry as a whole and increase the tourist flow between countries, identify best practices and create conditions for sustainable tourism development on a global scale.
