For the first time the KITF exhibition held in 2001 and the main purpose of the event was to attract attention to the tourism industry in Kazakhstan and the prospects for the development of this sector of the economy. Over the 21 years of the project, KITF has demonstrated impressive dynamics of its development, currently 74% of the total number of exhibitors are international participants, which indicates interest in the tourism market of Kazakhstan, the attractiveness of our country for attracting international investment and popularization of domestic products.
According to the event director of KITF 2023 Victoria Pavlenko, today the tourism potential of Kazakhstan is at the peak of its development, attracting more and more attention. "The potential is so multifaceted that we can talk about the immensity of Kazakhstan's tourism sector," says Victoria Pavlenko. — I see that our domestic, inbound tourism has a very promising future. I know that many foreign tour operators consider it a prerequisite to add Kazakh tourist products to their portfolio, and the product itself is perceived as competitive. At the KITF 2023 exhibition, we represent domestic tourism, attracting the interest of the international tourist community. The KITF exhibition is not just a demonstration platform for presenting new products of the tourism market and industry players, but also a training platform where topical issues of the industry will be discussed in the live negotiations format, networking and professional exchange of experience, as has already become a tradition at the annual KITF."

The exhibition, I think, is a very effective tool. The exhibition allows you to see how the market is developing in general, what our travel agents, tour operators are doing, what other representatives of the travel business are doing. The international exhibition is also a good opportunity to see how our neighbors and partners are developing, to see their achievements."
