NEW TOUR PRODUCTS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CURRENT DESTINATION IN THE KITF 2022.

On April 20-22, 2022 a true holiday of tourism - “Tourism and Travel” Kazakhstan International Exhibition KITF 2022 will be held in Almaty at the “Atakent” Exhibition Center.

Since 2001, KITF has been the largest b2b industry event in Central Asia, with indicators growing from year to year. This year, more than 200 companies from 17 countries (Azerbaijan, India, Indonesia, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, UAE, Poland, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, South Korea, and Japan) have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition. In this anniversary year, such companies as Antaal Life, EcoPark Tour, KOMPAS Touroperator, SCAT, AIR ASTANA, KazTur and many others announced their participation in the project.

Despite logistical difficulties, the exhibition will present national stands of Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Poland, and South Korea.

Today, the tourism industry in Kazakhstan is actively developing and has a number of professional achievements to its credit over the past year. As a result of the work carried out, Kazakhstan has won the “Best Guest Houses” nomination by Lonely Planet global publisher. The French edition of Le Figaro included Kazakhstan in the list of 21-th destination, recommended to visit in 2021, the British Backpacker Society has identified Kazakhstan in the top 5 list of mustvisit for 2020 for fans of active eco-travel. The Telegraph noted Kazakhstan as a “fast-growing tourist destination” and Almaty as a top urban budget destination for 2022. The Guardian compiled a list of the best places to visit, which included Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan’s Travelstan commercial won the Best Country Commercial category at the recent International Tourism Film Festival in Portugal. The Kholsay Kolderi National Park and the Saty village received a gold medal at the Fourth World Conference on Rural Tourism.

Participation in the KITF exhibition is a prospective solution for travel companies and travel agencies in nearby countries. The visa-free travel with Kazakhstan, geographical proximity and the absence of a language barrier may be objective reasons for companies from neighbouring countries to participate. The KITF platform covers 100% of Kazakhstan’s travel agent network, and travel industry professionals from 39 countries, predominantly from Central Asia, are among the visitors to the exhibition.

Traditionally, an extensive business programme will take place during the exhibition, whose events will help you once again experience the atmosphere of long-awaited meetings, lively negotiations, networking and professional exchanges. The content of the business events will include a round table with representatives from “trend destinations”, a travel club, a health tourism forum and many interactive zones at the expo-event site, including the Taste&Travel Fest gastronomic platform. Premium Travel Company will hold a seminar on the topic “Cruises. Relevant, Affordable, Perspective for Agencies”. Rate Hawk will be presenting a multi-product booking platform specifically for visitors to KITF 2022 exhibition. Domestic tourism sites will share practical case studies on how to cope with the pandemic crisis and how to develop business during this period.

International events at KITF, such as the signing of memorandums, agreements, interregional and cross-border cooperation programmes between the countries, as well as national agreements, plenary sessions, road shows, seminars, presentations and other industry events, demonstrate the effectiveness of the exhibition for the Kazakhstan and Central Asian tourism market.

KITF has been awarded the UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) quality mark for compliance with international B2B standards.
