Air Astana Group expands its route network

AirAstana 2026

The Air Astana Group is the largest airline group in Central Asia and the Caucasus in terms of revenue and fleet size. With a young and modern fleet of 63 aircraft, the Group provides regular, direct and transit, short-haul and long-haul passenger transportation, as well as cargo transportation on domestic, regional and international routes across Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Far East, the Gulf countries, India and Europe. Two differentiated but complementary brands (Air Astana, its full-service brand and the leading carrier of Kazakhstan, and FlyArystan, its low-cost airline brand) allow the Group to target different customer markets and geographical regions, offering a choice across a wide range of customer needs and travel purposes.

The Air Astana Group continues to actively expand its flight geography by opening new international destinations and increasing the frequency of flights on in-demand routes. This provides passengers with even more opportunities for both travel and business trips.

On March 29, Air Astana operated its first flight on the new Almaty – Shanghai route. The flight is operated three times a week on an Airbus A321LR aircraft.
From June 2, flights on the Astana – Guangzhou route will be launched with a frequency of twice a week.
From June, Air Astana will also launch flights to the island of Cyprus: from Astana and Almaty to Larnaca*.

At the same time, the frequency of flights on a number of routes is increasing: from May, flights from Astana to Frankfurt will become daily; an increase in frequency is planned for Beijing, Istanbul, Antalya, Urumqi, London, Tbilisi and Tashkent.

In the summer season, flights to popular tourist destinations are being resumed, including Nha Trang and Da Nang (Vietnam), Batumi, Bodrum and Podgorica* (Montenegro). In addition, the seasonal air service from Almaty to Malé (Maldives) has been extended until the end of May.

The low-cost carrier FlyArystan is also continuing to actively develop its route network and increase flight frequency.
Since the beginning of the year, the airline has been strengthening its presence on international routes, including seasonal summer routes: flights Astana – Batumi will be operated three times a week, from Almaty to Kutaisi — twice a week.

FlyArystan is expanding its route network to Central Asian countries: from March 21, flights from Almaty to Samarkand have been resumed; from June 18 — to Tamchy (Issyk-Kul); and from July 3, a new route Astana – Tamchy (Issyk-Kul) will be launched.

From April 1, seasonal flights from Aktau to Baku have been resumed, and the flight program to Turkey is being expanded — flights to Gazipasa (Alanya) will be operated from Almaty from May 13 and from Astana from May 11.

From March 1, 2026, FlyArystan increased the free cabin baggage allowance to 7 kg, which is aimed at improving passenger comfort and enhancing the customer experience.

FlyArystan continues the systematic development of its international route network, focusing on in-demand tourist and regional destinations, increasing transport accessibility and offering passengers more flexibility in planning their trips.

The Air Astana Group is actively updating its fleet with modern aircraft, which contributes to further expansion of the route network and ensures a high level of comfort for passengers.

This year in Almaty at the international tourism exhibition KITF, a joint stand of Air Astana and FlyArystan will be presented, where visitors will be able to learn about new destinations and receive consultations on travel planning.
