NUCLEAR-POWERED ICEBREAKER "50 YEARS OF VICTORY": A UNIQUE EXPEDITION SHIP FOR TRAVEL TO THE NORTH POLE
ONE OF THE MAIN SYMBOLS OF THE EXPEDITIONS OF THE POLAR TRAVEL CLUB IS THE LEGENDARY NUCLEAR ICEBREAKER "50 YEARS OF VICTORY", ON BOARD OF WHICH TRAVELS TO THE NORTH POLE TAKE PLACE.

This is one of the most powerful nuclear icebreakers in the world - it is capable of breaking through perennial Arctic ice up to three meters thick. The vessel was built specifically for operation in high latitudes and combines the power of the icebreaker fleet with comfort created for tourists. On board the icebreaker there are cabins of various categories, a restaurant, a bar, a lecture hall, panoramic decks and a helipad. During the expedition, guests can watch the work of the icebreaker, go out on the ice during special stops and take a helicopter flight over the Arctic ice.
Traveling on a nuclear-powered icebreaker is a rare opportunity to see the legendary vessel at work while visiting one of the most inaccessible places on the planet.
The Polar Travel Club is the exclusive operator of expeditions to the North Pole on board the icebreaker "50 Let Pobedy" and annually receives travelers from all over the world. In 2026, cruises "On an icebreaker to the top of the planet" will be held from July 1 to 13 and from July 12 to 24, starting from Murmansk.
