Cyprus Invites: Europe’s Cleanest Beaches Now Accessible with Direct Flights from Kazakhstan

Cyprus

Cyprus beaches are recognized as some of the cleanest in Europe. Each region of the island offers unique coastal features: a variety of sand and water colors, rich marine life, natural attractions, developed infrastructure, and access to water sports. Among all beaches and marinas, a key quality indicator is the Blue Flag. Today, 54 beaches and 2 marinas in Cyprus are awarded this prestigious symbol of cleanliness, convenience, and eco-friendliness.

Additionally, Cyprus annually confirms its status as the country with the cleanest bathing water in Europe, maintaining 100% high water quality standards year-round. Aphrodite’s Island beach — Fig Tree Bay in Protaras — was named one of Europe’s 19 best beaches in 2026 by Tripadvisor in the “Travelers’ Choice” category, making it one of the most popular and sought-after destinations.

For the first time, tourists from Kazakhstan can enjoy the crystal-clear turquoise waters and the best sandy beaches of Cyprus via direct regular flights with Air Astana from Astana and Almaty to Larnaca, available from June to September 2026.

At KITF 2026, taking place in Almaty from April 22–24, the Republic of Cyprus will showcase its tourism offerings, including beaches, cultural and natural attractions, as well as leisure options for all categories of travelers.
