Goa Tourism to Showcase Its Offerings at KITF 2026 in Almaty

The Department of Tourism of the Government of Goa will present the destination at the Kazakhstan International Tourism and Travel Fair (KITF) 2026, taking place from April 22 to 24, 2026, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The exhibition is considered one of the key B2B platforms in Central Asia’s tourism industry, providing opportunities to develop international partnerships with professionals from the global travel market.
At the Goa booth, industry professionals — including travel agents, tour operators, and hospitality representatives — will be able to explore the region’s tourism offerings. Goa is known as one of India’s leading coastal destinations, combining natural landscapes, cultural heritage, wellness traditions, and modern tourism formats. Representatives from the Department of Tourism will hold meetings with market participants, present tourism products, and discuss potential collaborations.
Special attention is given to the development of sustainable tourism. Goa became the first Indian state to officially adopt this approach, aimed at preserving ecosystems, supporting local communities and cultural heritage, and promoting more responsible and conscious travel.
New tourism offerings include thematic routes, historical walks, ecotourism projects, active programs, and experiential tourism formats that allow travelers to engage more deeply with the region’s culture, cuisine, and traditions.
Marine tourism is also expanding. With its extensive coastline, Goa promotes cruises and water-based leisure activities on yachts, targeting international travelers.
Beyond its famous beaches, the region offers inland routes — picturesque villages, waterfalls, nature reserves, and spice plantations. Wellness tourism, based on Ayurveda, yoga, and naturopathy, is also an important part of Goa’s tourism portfolio.
Goa is easily accessible, served by two international airports — Manohar International Airport (Mopa) and Goa International Airport — offering direct and connecting flights to major cities in India and worldwide.
At KITF 2026, representatives from the Department of Tourism will meet with travel agents, tour operators, DMCs, and investors to present the region’s tourism policies, investment opportunities, and areas for collaboration.
