The VISIT KARAGANDA Information Center will participate in the 23rd Kazakhstan International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (KITF 2025), to be held at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty, April 23–25.

The exhibition will showcase the region’s tourism potential. Below are a few highlights.

Karkaraly State National Nature Park is a protected area in the Karaganda Region. The park includes four forestry areas: Gornoye, Karkaralinskoye, Bakhtinskoye, and Kentskoye.

The park is home to 46 species of mammals, 234 species of birds, 6 species of reptiles, 2 species of amphibians, and 15 species of fish. The Red Book of Kazakhstan lists species like the argali (wild sheep), black stork, golden eagle, and other rare birds of prey.

One of its top attractions is Lake Shaytankol, located at 1,200 meters above sea level at the foot of Mount Bugyly. The lake is 60 meters long and 40 meters wide, with an undefined depth and clear, stable water levels.

The park also houses a Nature Museum (founded in 1983), showcasing local flora and fauna. A zoological enclosure of 85 hectares shelters bison, deer, badgers, and other animals in semi-natural conditions.
