Croatia was included in the TOP 10 best countries in the world to visit in 2024 according to Lonely Planet

Great news for Croatia from Lonely Planet, one of the world’s leading travel platforms and specialized media for travel.

On account of its 50th anniversary, Lonely Planet has published a list of the world’s top 50 destinations in five categories. At the same time, Croatia has secured its place in top 10 best countries to visit next year.

I believe that our many guests have already been convinced of the attractiveness of the Croatian tourism offer and the dedication of the entire Croatian tourism sector, and those who are just planning to come will be convinced”, - emphasized Kristjan Stanicic, the Director of the Croatian Tourism Society, emphasizing the importance of sustainable development in development, as well as promoting sustainable tourism as we see an increase in number of travelers following environmental trends.

Lonely Planet described Croatia as a country with a beautiful sun-drenched coastline, numerous islands, challenging mountains and historic towns. The description also highlights Croatia’s entry into the Schengen area, the opening of the Pelješac Bridge and other infrastructure projects, which are just some of the synonyms of Croatia that have placed it among the best countries in the world.

It is worth noting that countries such as Mongolia, India, Morocco, Chile, Mexico and others are also on the list along with Croatia.
